The things on my mind today Hi, how are you? I think today’s post is going to have to be a bit short. I’m carrying out a major overhaul of my blog. Nothing that will necessarily be noticeable but there are certain things I realise I did wrong when first I started my blog nearly a year ago, and other things I didn’t do when I migrated to self hosting. Why I Love Blogging
The 5 things I love about it Writing This has to be the first thing obviously. It is my whole reason for being and blogging. I’ve always loved writing since being a child. After I became a disabled person I’ve been able to write on my tablet. I wrote a journal. Before that I wrote in notebooks. Sharing I love the fact that blogging means sharing. Sharing things with others which may give them pleasure, or resonate with them or that they can relate to. Sometimes Life Gets In The Way
And we just have to deal with it So, I started my new regime of writing in the evening, or at least, getting my ideas down. It’s going reasonably well. It means I can work with those ideas and plan my posts. I usually write drafts and edit over weekends and get ready to post every Tuesday. This works for me. I had a list of ideas ready and waiting for Saturday. I couldn’t wait to get started. Then life, in its infinite wisdom threw me a curve ball. Brief Thoughts
For when time is short and when ideas are hiding A big shoutout to Glen Mackenzie at https://justabitfurther.wordpress.com for giving me this brilliant idea of writing shorter blog posts when I have no time or ideas. I hope he doesn’t mind me using it.
